RunALL, v2.0 README! File by Dotoran!
============================================================================
This is a replacement command for CNet's RUN command. This version has
the ability to run ARexx, CNetC, DOS or Paragon types of files, whereas the
built-in CNet RUN command can only run CNetC files.
To install into your system, follow these steps:
1: Place the "RunALL" file in your PFILES: path.
2: Load the BBSMENU file into a text editor, then locate the RUN command in
Menu # 1; Maintenance Menu. Change it from "RUN" into "2RUN".
3: Now add the following line to the END of Menu # 2; Available Everywhere:
RUN, RUNall `31 | {#0pfiles:RunALL}
^ ^
Access Control-Q
Groups
Adding it to Menu # 2 allows you to give any users of your choice access
to it, not just those with System Operator priviledges.
4: Now SAVE your BBSMENU file, then reload it using the RAMIGA - T combo.
5: That's It! Continue reading to discover how to use the command.
The syntax for this command differs slightly from CNet's RUN command in
that it takes two arguments, instead of one:
RUN <type> <path/file>
<type> This is where you tell the command what kind of file you'll
be running. You can use the letters A, C, D, or P for ARexx,
CNetC, DOS or Paragon, or else you can use the MCI Numeric
Value(as used in the {# } command): 0 (ARexx), 2 (CNetC),
4 (DOS) or 6 (Paragon). Values 1, 3, 5, or 7 will NOT work.
If <type> is a ?, then you will be shown the HELP screen.
<path/file> Is the location of the file you wish to run. If this is NOT
given, the HELP screen will be shown. If the file can not be
located, you will be told this, else the file will be RUN.
Typing RUN without ANY arguments will bring up prompts asking you for the
above two pieces of information, upon which the file will be launched.
I hope this file is of some use to some/all of you!
